The Northey Cup

Cream they say, rises to the top and so it proved in last weekend's Northey Cup competition as Stuart Grierson claimed his first trophy competition thanks to an outstanding score of 43 points which gave him a narrow, one point winning margin over Gareth Neate in 2nd place. There was 2-way tie in 3rd position on 40 points between Dan Linehan and in form Mal Hill with the consistent Scott Brown alone in 5th place on 39 points.

 

With Sam Attwood no longer with us I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Liam Snook to the pro-shop staff. Some of you may already know Liam from his work behind the bar but he is also helping out in the shop with the long term goal of becoming a PGA member. Liam will be helping me over the coming Sundays with the Junior Coaching programme with a view to taking over in due course.
