CORONATION CUP
An outstanding round of gross 70 [nett 70] was enough to give Paul Mcmullen 1st in place in this years "Coronation Cup" competition with a one stroke winning margin from Leigh McCarron and Ken Owens tied in 2nd place. Tied in 3rd position one shot further back were Maurice Teague, John Habgood and Mal Hill.
Not only did Pauls' excellent round give him victory it also gave him a further handicap reduction to +1 ! Has Kingsdown ever had a + handicap player before?
SENIORS MEDAL
Very few golfers are fortunate to play like Mr. McMullen. However such is the handicap system in golf, it allows all of us to compete with one another so it was great to see Peter Woods come up trumps in this week's Senior Medal with his nett 68 securing him a 3 shot winning margin and at last, a handicap reduction! Well done Peter.
This Saturday also sees the second of the weekly FREE taster coaching sessions I am running each week throughout May as part of the national "Get into Golf" initiative. If you know anyone who would like to try please bring them along to our driving range between 10.00-11.00 or 11.30-12.30 on any Saturday this month.
