With the Kingsdown course presented superbly and good weather conditions in place, low scores looked likely in last Sundays Coronation Cup, and so it proved as David Ponting took 1st place with an excellent nett 67 [gross 73] for a 1 shot win ahead of Dan Griggs [73-5=68] in 2nd place.
There was a 5-way tie in 3rd place on nett 69 featuring Marcus Lewis, Derek Everden, Brian Nelson, Scott Brown and Aaron Ledgister. It should be worth noting that 5 of those mentioned above are regular lesson takers and have recently invested in custom fitted clubs, proof once again that quality tuition and correctly fitted equipment do bring rewards!

Some remarkable scores were produced in last Saturdays' Captains Charity Fun competition, with Andrew Garcia taking 1st place in the gents event with 50 stableford points. He secured a 2 point winning margin from Paul Marshall who finished in 2nd place, with Pat Bollen one point further back in 3rd.
50 points was not good enough to win the ladies event however as Chris Barnes returned the outstanding score of 52 points to give her a 3 point winning margin over Lesley Bollen in 2nd place. A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped raise over £350 for charity.
