Competition news

On The Course

Partners Cup. Recent changes to handicap fractions have led to some notable scores as was the case in both rounds of the recent Partners Cup competition.

Saturday

It took a brilliant score of 48 points from Phil Hodges and Paul Bloomfield to take 1st place in the Saturday edition of this years Partners Cup. Both Paul and Phil are lesson takers and regular practicers and are always working at their games. In 2nd place on 47 points were Graham Minshaw and Gary Pepper with Ian Henderson and Rick Smart one point further back on 46 points.

Sunday

With an even better score of 49 points Stephen Lilley and Brian Seymour won the Sunday round with winning margin of 5 points from Mike Davis and Tom Stewart on 44 points with a tie for 3rd place between the pairings of Gordon Allen with Martin Hayward and David Hames with Alan Gregory.

The winners of Saturdays' competition will now play the winners of Sundays competition to decide the overall winners.

Custom Fitting

The recent Titleist fitting day once again proved a great success with lots of interest in the new 917D driver along with the continued popularity of the AP1 and AP2 irons and Vokey wedges. From a personal point of view a big thank you to Titleist for my excellent new Vokey wedges and T-MB hybrid iron - a real improvement.
